As of 11 April 2022, the Global Business Mobility (GBM) routes have now replaced the Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) routes. Under the GBM routes, there are five main categories.

The new Global Business Mobility (GBM) routes are launching on Monday, 11 April 2022, replacing the existing Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) routes, with the GBM: Senior/Specialist Worker route replacing the ICT route and the GBM: Graduate Trainee route replacing the Intra-Company Graduate Trainee route.

The Home Office has announced an upcoming change in the way right to work checks are to be conducted for Biometric Residence Card (BRC), Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) and Frontier Worker Permit (FWP) holders. 

UK businesses who hold a worker sponsor licence to employ non-settled workers must be aware of the multiple Home Office fees associated with doing so. These fees vary depending on the size of the sponsor’s organisation, the length of sponsorship, the nationality of the sponsored worker, the type of work visa, and many other factors.

UK businesses are currently trading in a time with the highest rate of staff shortages last seen in the late 1990’s. Recent figures from UK Hospitality (the British Hospitality Association) highlight the ongoing crisis in the sector caused by the chronic labour shortage of hospitality staff.
