Back in May last year we blogged on the Court of Appeal’s decision that a failure to pay enhanced shared parental pay to match maternity pay was not sex discrimination. Our previous blog can be seen here.
The Supreme Court has now refused permission to appeal and so the Court of Appeal’s decision remains binding.
This will be welcome news for employers as it means they do not need to amend their current policies to enhance shared parental leave to match that of maternity leave.
