If UKVI visit your organisation as part of assessing your sponsor licence application, they will give a score of “met” or “not met” for your HR systems i.e. whether you have systems in place that allow you to know when a migrant has not turned up for work, or to identify when their current leave is coming to an end.
UKVI will also consider a sponsor’s history of compliance with immigration laws whilst employing migrants, whether you can comply with your sponsorship duties and whether you can offer genuine employment which meets the relevant criteria for the visa category applied for (skill level and appropriate rates of pay).
UKVI will grant an A rated licence to a sponsor that is fully compliant in each of these areas. The areas UKVI may consider during a visit are set out below:
