Factsheet on 'qualifying employees' request for flexible working. 

Employees do not have a right to work flexibly, per se. However, ‘qualifying employees’ do have a statutory right to request flexible working which needs to be considered by their employer (usually within two months of making the request) and can only be refused on one or more of 8 permitted grounds.
