Conducting a grievance investigation checklist

Checklist providing you with the tools to conduct a thorough grievance investigation.

  1. Read the grievance procedure.
  2. Identify all of the complaints constituting the grievance and clarify with the  employee if necessary.
  3. Carry out a thorough investigation – check the facts, gather any evidence, identify relevant witnesses to speak to and take witness statements from them.
