Internet and email policy

Policy covering the use of the internet and email by employees.

Purpose and scope

This Policy covers the use of electronic communications systems and equipment, including Internet and email systems, by employees for both business and private purposes and the monitoring by the Company of such use.  [It is supplemented by our Social Media Policy and should be read in conjunction with this.]

It is designed to protect the interests and needs of both the Company and the employees in determining how these systems can be used.

This Policy is designed to raise awareness of the potential personal and commercial risks of using these systems and to ensure that all employees understand their responsibilities and the Company’s expectations in the manner in which these systems are used.  In setting and monitoring these standards, the Company will comply with the individual rights of employees and any further legislative requirements.
