Shared Parental Leave Checklist

  1. Is the employee requesting SPL entitled to Statutory Maternity Leave or Statutory Adoption Leave or entitled to Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Adoption Pay or Maternity Allowance?
  2. Is the employee requesting SPL going to take a share in the responsibility for raising the child?
  3. Does the employee meet the continuity test?
  4. Has a woman who has given birth taken at least two weeks of leave (four if she works in a factory) after the birth?
